Alexa Wemo Commands

To use Alexa Wemo commands you will need any Alexa device like the Echo Show or Echo Dot and compatible smart wemo device.

Setting Up Alexa Wemo Commands
Install and set up your Alexa device and Wemo device following the manufacturers instructions.
Then go to the Alexa app and you will need to add the Wemo Alexa Skill in order to integrate Alexa Wemo Commands on to your Alexa devices.
Alexa Wemo Commands: Smart Plugs
To use Alexa Wemo Commands you need to give your smart plug a name like “Hallway”, “Bedroom” or another name. You can then control the smart plugs using the following Alexa Wemo commands.
“Alexa, turn off hallway.”
“Alexa, turn on hallway.”
“Alexa, turn on [NAME OF DEVICE].”
“Alexa, turn off [NAME OF DEVICE].”
Alexa Wemo Dimmer Commands
Just like the smart plugs you need to name your dimmers but they also have dimming functionality so there are more commands that can be used.
“Alexa, turn off Bedroom lights”
“Alexa, turn on Bedroom lights.”
Alexa, turn on [NAME OF DEVICE] lights.”
Alexa, turn off [NAME OF DEVICE] lights.”
Alexa, set bedroom lights to 50%.”
Alexa, set bedroom lights to 20%.”
“Alexa dim bedroom lights to 60%.”
“Alexa, set [NAME OF DEVICE] lights to [0-100%].”
Alexa Wemo Switch Commands
With Alexa Commands for Wemo light switches you should use the term “lights” after the name of the switch it will help better determine what devices you want to control.
“Alexa, turn off Living Room lights”
“Alexa, turn on Living Room lights.”
Alexa, turn on [NAME OF DEVICE] lights.”
Alexa, turn off [NAME OF DEVICE] lights.”
