What is Super Alexa Mode?

Super Alexa Mode is a cheat code that you can use on your Alexa device to have a little bit of fun with your Amazon Echo device.

It pays homage to the original video game developers who programed in cheat codes to Nintendo Video games like Contra and Teenage Ninja Turtles Games available on original Nintendo devices.

The cheat code developed for these games was called the Konami code which was named after the developer of the Nintendo Games, Konami Holdings Corporation.

The cheat codes would allow typically give you extra or unlimited lives while playing the game and became a popular way for less skilled players to have access to levels they may have never gotten to see otherwise and enjoy the full length of the game.

What Does Super Alexa Mode Do?

When you enter the Super Alexa mode cheat code using voice commands with your Amazon Alexa it will go through a series of noises, and boot up protocol on your Amazon Alexa device to put it into Super Alexa Mode.

How Do I Turn On Super Alexa Mode?

To activate Super Alexa Mode, say, "Alexa, up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, start."

Once you give the command Alexa, will say: “Super Alexa Mode Activated. Starting reactors, online. Enabling advanced systems, online. Raising dongers. Error. Dongers missing. Aborting.”

How To Turn Off Super Alexa Mode

Super Alexa Mode is a neat feature, but there’s no need to turn it off because it was never really on. Super Alexa Mode doesn’t do anything to your Echo Device and it doesn’t change the settings on your device. All Super Alexa Mode does is make a few noises and once it’s done making noises Super Alexa Mode is off.

There are no changes to your Alexa after your run Super Alexa Mode and Super Alexa Mode automatically turns itself off after a few seconds.

Is Super Alexa Mode Dangerous?

The code was leaked gamers and most gamers enjoyed learning about the code so they could play the entire game even if they didn’t have the skill to beat the game on their own.

Hashimoto is claims that he accidentally forgot to remove the code but some gamers debate if it was an accident or intended as future games that Konami released also had the code built in.

Super Alexa mode will work on any Echo or Alexa Device with a microphone and speaker including the Echo Dot, Echo Show 5 and Fire TV Cube. My current favorite device is the Echo Show 5.
