What Alexa Devices Will Alexa Spotify Commands Work On?
Alexa Spotify Commands will work on all Alexa devices including most 3rd party devices that have Alexa built in. Below we cover some of our favorite Alexa devices for listening to music and why we like them.
If you want to stick with an Alexa Echo device we’ve found that the Echo Show 2 has great sound quality in the Echo Device lineup. It’s larger size means that they were able to fit in two larger speakers that have deeper base and full range of sound. The Echo Show 2 is the closest I’ve seen an Echo device come to matching the sound quality of a Sonos Speaker. While the sound quality is not quite as good as the excellent sound quality of the Sonos One speakers the Echo Show comes pretty darn close and has a camera and 10.1” touch screen for playing videos or video chatting with family. By no means is the Echo Show 2 a compromise when it comes to sound quality. It’s a great streaming speaker, but it doesn’t have the music centered focus that is the basis of design for the Sonos Speakers.
If you are looking for ultra high quality sound to use with your Alexa Spotify commands the Sonos speakers with Alexa built in are hard to beat. Both the Sonos One and Sonos Beam have Alexa built in for native Alexa control and exceptional sound quality. The Sonos Speakers sound amazing with streaming Spotify music and is what I use to power the sound system in my home.
The Sonos One is a standalone smart speaker with Alexa built that is great for proving sound in medium sized spaces, like bedrooms, offices, the kitchen and dens.
The Sonos Beam is a sound bar that is best paired with TV and can be used as both a TV sound bar and as streaming music player. If you want full surround sound you can pair your Sonos Beam with other Sonos Speakers to create and immersive surround sound system.
The Sonos speakers are wireless so they don’t need to be wired together, they pair to create a surround sound system through the Sonos App. With Alexa built into the Sonos Beam you can even control your TV and turn it on and off using Alexa commands. Overall the Sonos Beam is a versitile smart speaker that works with Alexa Spotify commands and can provide great sound quality.
Alexa Spotify Commands Summary
If you have an Alexa device and Spotify connecting the two is a great way to increase the functionality of your smart home with Alexa Spotify Commands. I use Spotify as my default music service for Alexa and use Alexa Spotify commands almost everyday with the Sonos speakers throughout the home. The feature I tend to use the most with Alexa Spotify commands is asking Alexa to play a specific Spotify playlist so I can listen to exactly what I want to without even needing to have my phone on me.
